Stream House Stream House dates from the 1580s.  It has an elevated position enjoying views through a typical wealden valley.  The accommodation is contained within the upper story of an out-building known as "The Garret". The town of Battle (in the heart of 1066 country) with its ancient Battle Abbey is ideal for the tourist, with many National Trust and other historic buildings and estates within easy reach.  The area of Battle is renowned for its good restaurants and pubs.   If peaceful walking is a favourite, or you just enjoy the quiet of nature, there are many local walks, and more walks.  There is a footpath network passing the property.  You can walk into the town centre of Battle in fifteen minutes.
